AmaZulu FC Unveil Zimbabwean Midfielder Mason Mushore

South African Premiership side AmaZulu FC have officially unveiled Zimbabwean midfielder Mason Mushore following the completion of his permanent transfer from Highlanders FC. The Durban-based club confirmed the signing on Wednesday as part of their squad strengthening plans ahead of the 2026 season.

AmaZulu announced Mushore’s arrival through their official social media platforms, expressing confidence in the midfielder’s ability to add value to the team. In a statement shared on the club’s Facebook page, AmaZulu said they were proud to welcome Mushore from Highlanders FC in Zimbabwe.

The unveiling was marked by a photo of Mushore alongside AmaZulu FC president Sandile Zungu, symbolising the club’s commitment to backing the new signing as he begins his journey in the South African top flight.

Highlanders FC, popularly known as Bosso, had earlier confirmed that an agreement had been reached with AmaZulu for Mushore’s transfer. The deal officially came into effect on January 1, 2026, paving the way for the midfielder to link up with his new club.

Mushore’s move represents a significant step in his career. He established himself as a key player at Highlanders, earning recognition for his work rate, composure in midfield, and consistency. His performances in the Zimbabwean league made him a strong candidate for a move abroad.

For AmaZulu, the signing reflects their intention to bolster the squad with proven regional talent as they prepare for the demands of the 2026 season. The club is expected to rely on Mushore’s experience and versatility to strengthen their midfield options.

The transfer also highlights the growing pathway for Zimbabwean players into the South African Premiership. Mushore now has the opportunity to test himself at a higher competitive level and further develop his game on a bigger stage.

As preparations for the new season continue, all eyes will be on how quickly Mushore adapts to life at AmaZulu and how his presence influences the team’s ambitions in domestic competition.
