Brian Bennett Shines as Zimbabwe Clinches T20I Series Against Namibia

Brian Bennett once again stole the spotlight as Zimbabwe secured a five-wicket victory over Namibia at Queens Sports Club on Tuesday, sealing the T20I series.
The in-form all-rounder, awarded Player of the Match for the second consecutive game, powered Zimbabwe’s chase with a blistering 40 off just 20 deliveries and took a crucial catch in the field. His explosive innings set the tone for the pursuit of 170, smashing boundaries to take the team to 52 without loss inside the first five overs.
Though Bennett was dismissed in the sixth over, his performance laid the foundation for Tadiwanashe Marumani, who scored 50 off 36 balls, and Brendan Taylor, who contributed 29. A brief stumble in the middle order was overcome by Ryan Burl, who remained unbeaten on 24 to guide Zimbabwe to victory with 11 balls to spare.
The win gave Zimbabwe a 2-0 lead in the three-match series, making the final game a dead rubber. Bennett’s performance reinforced his status as one of the team’s brightest stars and highlighted his growing influence on Zimbabwe’s T20I side.
Zimbabwe’s dominant display in the series demonstrates their strength in batting depth and fielding agility, with Bennett emerging as a key figure capable of turning games single-handedly.
