Bruce Kangwa Attracts Interest from Black Leopards and TP Mazembe

CAPS United defender Bruce Kangwa is reportedly garnering attention from top football clubs in Africa, with South African Division One side Black Leopards and DRC giants TP Mazembe among those keen to secure his services.

Kangwa, a seasoned defender with extensive experience, has been impressive in his performances for CAPS United since his return to Zimbabwe. He rejoined the Green Machine in 2024 as a free agent after his release from Tanzanian club Azam FC, where he spent several successful years.

Since returning to CAPS United, Kangwa has rejuvenated his career, playing a key role in the team’s defense. His strong performances have not gone unnoticed, with interest now coming from two of Africa’s most renowned clubs. Black Leopards, who are striving for promotion into the South African Premier Soccer League (PSL), and TP Mazembe, a club with a rich history in continental football, are both reportedly monitoring the defender.

Kangwa’s agent, George Deda, confirmed the interest to Zimpapers Sports Hub, expressing his excitement about the opportunities for his client. “I am delighted that there is some interest for Kangwa from Black Leopards and TP Mazembe,” Deda said. He also emphasized that while he would prefer Kangwa to join Leopards, he remains open to discussions with Mazembe.

“I would prefer Black Leopards, as they are fighting for promotion, and Kangwa’s experience would be invaluable in that effort,” Deda added. “These teams have been tracking him for more than six months, and we hope to finalize discussions during the off-season.”

As the transfer window approaches, Kangwa’s future remains uncertain, but his return to form at CAPS United has certainly put him in the spotlight. Football fans across Africa will be watching closely to see where the experienced defender’s next move takes him.
