Can Ngezi inflict revenge on Herentals?
By Geronimo News
A 3 nil defeat at the hands of Herentals in a league clash at the national Sports stadium will be fresh in the minds of Ngezi Platinum Stars.
With Madamburo set to host “The Students” inflicting revenge on Herentals will be a top priority for the Mhondoro based outfit. After succumbing to a 1 nil last minute defeat at the hands of Cranborne Bullets at the weekend Ngezi platinum will be eager to bounce back from last weekends setback when they face Herentals.
While Ngezi platinum will be reeling from a recent defeat, Herentals heads into Saturday’s clash on the back of a 1 all stalemate against Highlanders.
Playing at home will be an added advantage for Ngezi Platinum Stars who will be under pressure for positive results that have been hard to come by in recent months. With Takesure Chiragwi having been named interim head coach following the dismissal of Benjani Mwaruwari, the onus will be on the acting gaffer to prove his worth to the Madamburo executive.
After making his debut in Rusape, recent signing Tapiwa Mandinyenya will be eager to prove himself especially playing in front of the Ngezi Platinum home crowd. Another new addition is Farai Madhanaga who could possibly make his debut against Herentals.
After recently graduating from the under 19 side, Tendai Matindife is another player who will be keen to make a positive impression for Madamburo. Matindife marked his return from the under 19’s with a goal against Triangle before showing flashes of brilliance in the 1 nil loss against Cranborne Bullets.
The slippery winger will on Saturday have another opportunity of impressing this time in the Chibuku super Cup competition.
