Chiyangwa to host UEFA president.

Phillip Chiyangwa will be hosting the Uefa president Ceferin and his wife and kids as they pay the majestic Victoria falls a visit this holiday. Chiyangwa has previously hosted former Uefa president Gianni Infantino. Ceferin will be in the country for ten days to relax during the festive season. Chiyangwa will be flexing his soccer influential muscle as the president of Cosafa.

He wrote,” I have been approached as the Cosafa president to facilitate the easy entry ,protocol and security through your office” in a letter addressed to the chief secretary of the president Misheck Sibanda. He went on further to state that the president of Uefa is the most powerful figure in the European Union and Uefa has a large development budget for Africa.

Although Chiyangwa lost the ZIFA presidential election, he still remains an influential figure in sports because of his Cosafa role. Chiyangwa was instrumental in the demise of the long ruling CAF president Issa Hayatou in 2017 after 29 years in office.
