Kaizer Chiefs is reportedly chasing our Zimbabwean born star Costa Nhamoinesu who has been making waves in Europe as a central defender for the Sparta League. The footballer has been in Europe for nine years where he signed a contract in the Czech republic that will end in few months time.
Player’s representative Jakob Slowic said that the Amakhosi are just one of a number of teams trying to lure Costa to their club for next season, however the 28 year old defender said he will be weighing up his options.
He also added that Costa is a quality player and they need to find the right club that will appreciate him and his character. Turkish clubs are in the race, Besiktas, Kasimpas and Konyaspor are very interested. There are also German clubs interested but he can not name them yet.
”Is it interesting for you to hear that Kaizer Chiefs are interested in signing Costa? We are negotiating with them. He is open to do that if the package is right” he added.
Other Zimbabwean soccer stars such as Mitchell Katsvairo and Edmore Chirambadare have been associated to the Kaizer Chiefs club.
