Kadewere winner earns him man of the match award
A vital winner 10 minutes from time was enough to earn the Warriors forward the man of the match award following Olympique Lyon’s hard earned 1 nil victory over Angers yesterday evening. Polls held on twitter saw Kadewere amassing 43.95 of the votes while Anthony Lopes was second with 35%.
Kadewere’s composed finish was his 4th goal in 5 matches for Lyon. After rising from the bench to score a brace in Lyon’s last encounter the Warriors forward this time earned a place in the starting 11 and made the difference with the all important goal.
The Zimbabwean international has been under the spotlight in recent weeks with Olympique Lyon coach Rudi Garcia impressed by Kadewere’s work ethic and dedication. Kadewere dedicated Sunday’s goal to his late brother Prince Kadewere who would have turned 40.
Following a slow start at Lyon Kadewere appears to have now found his feet at Lyon where he is emerging as an important member of the team. To add to his overall contribution the Zimbabwean is discovering the goal scoring form which saw him end as the ligue 2 top goal scorer.
