Mandla “Lulu” Mpofu Appointed Head Coach of Simba Bhora FC
Simba Bhora FC has officially announced Mandla “Lulu” Mpofu as their new head coach, succeeding Joel Luphahla, who has moved on to a role at FC Platinum. The appointment forms part of the club’s strategy to strengthen its technical bench ahead of the upcoming season.
Mpofu brings extensive experience from both domestic and regional football. He has previously managed Highlanders, Railstars, Bantu Rovers, and Sua Flamingoes, establishing a reputation for tactical acumen and player development.
Prior to joining Simba Bhora, Mpofu was in charge of Botswana Premier League side Sua Flamingoes from June 2023. Initially, his strong performances earned him a two-year contract extension. However, inconsistent results led to a mutual agreement to part ways in early December 2024.
Simba Bhora supporters and management anticipate that Mpofu’s appointment will provide stability and renewed competitiveness, leveraging his regional coaching experience to guide the team in domestic and continental competitions.
