Mighty Warriors Receive a Major Boost Ahead of WAFCON Qualifiers

The Zimbabwe Women’s National Football Team, popularly known as the Mighty Warriors, received a significant morale boost from Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) Vice President Loveness Mukura as they gear up for their crucial Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifiers next week.

Mukura, a former standout player for Herentals Queens and a respected football administrator, visited the team during their training session at Prince Edward School on Thursday. Her message of encouragement and belief in the squad ignited a renewed sense of determination among the players as they prepare to represent Zimbabwe on the continental stage.

“We have a strong and formidable team,” Mukura declared with conviction. “I believe we will play together, encourage one another, and win. In football, be each other’s keeper. You are carrying the national flag, so go and do your best. This is the cream of the nation.”

Her speech served as a reminder of the honor and responsibility that comes with wearing the national jersey. By emphasizing teamwork, unity, and confidence, she reinforced the Mighty Warriors’ commitment to excellence as they head into their qualifiers.

Mukura was accompanied by fellow ZIFA Vice President Kenny Ndebele, board member Kudzai Kadzombe, and Women’s League Chairperson Theresa Maguraushe. Their presence further underscored the federation’s support for the team, highlighting the importance of the upcoming matches.

With the Mighty Warriors receiving such strong backing from the nation’s football leadership, the players are more motivated than ever to make an impact in the WAFCON qualifiers. Fans across Zimbabwe will be rallying behind them as they strive for glory on the African stage.
