Rumours: Gorowa eyes Warriors return as Pasuwa faces Mali pressure

Sour relations between Kalisto Pasuwa and the Zifa leadership are seemingly threatening to cut short the Warriors gaffer’s stint as coach of the Zim national team.

Prior to travelling to Rwanda, Pasuwa was given a target of winning the African Nations championship. Pasuwa did not agree to such a target resulting in the stalling of negotiations over a new contract. Sources close to zimsportsnews.com say if Pasuwa fails to go beyond the knockout stage at Chan, this could result in his sacking.

Those aligned to Zifa president Philip Chiyangwa are allegedly pushing for Pasuwa’s ouster. The man that is said to be waiting in the wings and eager to return to the warriors fold is none other than Ian Gorowa who had sour relations with the previous Zifa administration.
