Rusike on target for Zesco

Zimbabwe international midfielder Tafadzwa Rusike was on target for Zesco United in their 2-1 win over Royal Leopards of Eswatini in the CAF Champions League First Preliminary Round second leg tie at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

Rusike scored the opener for Zesco United on the half hour mark as they looked set to book a ticket to the Second Preliminary Round but his efforts were all in vain after the final whistle as the visitors marched on.

Despite the win, it was the end of the road for Rusike and his teammates in as far as this competition is concerned.

The result in Ndola saw the game ending 2-2 on aggregate leaving Royal Leopards to progress to the next stage of the tournament owing to the away goals rule after having won 1-0 at Mavuso Sports Centre in Manzini last week.
