Which PSL team in Zimbabwe has more social media followers?

The advent of technological applications and platforms has led to a sharp rise in organizations and companies embracing the new development and growing their brands online. Soccer teams have also joined the bandwagon. According to a recent report compiled by Techzim, some notable football clubs seem to be lagging behind in terms of their social media presence.

The team with the most followers in Facebook is Highlanders football club. Most people in Zimbabwr use Facebook. Theteam with the highest number of followers in both Twitter and Instagram is Bulawayo FC while Hwange FCand ZPC Kariba are the only teams that have social media presence following on one of the three platforms on the schedule.

Highlanders has the largest number of all followers combined in all platforms at 77800,followed by Caps United with 45940 and FC Platinum with 43955. One would have expected the glamour boys Dynamos to have a spot in the top three but sadly that is not the case. Most people rely on social media platforms to get latest soccer updates and general news in their favourite teams .

It is indeed high time that all teams in the PSL take social media presence seriously and garner new supporters.
