Zimbabwe and Pakistan Discuss Potential Test Series

Zimbabwe Cricket and the Pakistan Cricket Board are in talks over a possible Test series that could take place in Pakistan after the ongoing tri series. The two boards have not yet agreed on the structure of the tour. Each side prefers a different format and discussions are ongoing.

Cricket enthusiast Adam Theo said Zimbabwe Cricket wants a two match Test series. The Pakistan Cricket Board prefers a single Test. Both parties are working to reach common ground and an official announcement is expected if they agree in the coming days.

If the tour is confirmed, it will strengthen cricket relations between the two countries. It will also give Zimbabwean players valuable experience in subcontinental conditions. Pakistan would continue to build its reputation as a stable host for international cricket.

The proposed timing presents a challenge. The dates overlap with the Bangladesh Premier League auction on November 30. Several Zimbabwean players have entered the auction. The list includes Richard Ngarava, Sean Williams, Ryan Burl, Innocent Kaia, Brian Bennett, Ben Curran, Jonathan Campbell, Faraz Akram and Brad Evans. Their availability could depend on how the final schedule is arranged.

Zimbabwe Cricket is expected to confirm details once talks are complete. The potential series reflects growing cooperation between the boards and a shared interest in expanding competitive opportunities for their players.
