Zimbabwean football fraternity mourns Barnabus Mushunje

The Zimbabwean football fraternity has plunged into mourning following the untimely death of Barnabus Mushunje who passed away at Parirenyatwa hospital on Tuesday evening.
Mushunje was involved in a car accident on is way from Harare to Shamva where is team Simba Bora is based.
Reacting to the death of Mushunje, Ngezi Platinum Stars wrote on it’s twitter page, “Ngezi Platinum Stars Football Club is saddened to hear of the passing on of its former player, Barnabus Mushunje. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this difficult time. Barnabus shall be remembered for his cultured left foot. May his soul Rest in Peace”.
Mushunje had a stint with Ngezi Platinum Stars before moving to Dynamos. Dembare also posted a condolence message which read’s, “We are saddened to hear about the passing on of one of our former players Barnabus Mushunje who died in a car crash this Tuesday. The football fraternity has lost one of the greatest. Mahis Soul rest in peace and may all is family and friends be comforted in Christ”.
Following stints wit Ngezi Platinum Stars and Dynamos, Mushunje moved to Simba Bhora, the club that he turned out for at the time of his death. Mushunje was a regular that played an instrumental role in ensuring Simba Bhora claimed pole position at the halfway stage of the Northern Region Division One season. Apart from his league exploits, Mushunje was also at the heart of steering Simba Bhora to the final of the Axis Solutions Super 8 cup competition.
