Swan Valley Group has teamed up with Reggae Wave Zim to support the October Reggae Festival, set for October 4 at Sherwood Golf Club in Harare. The event promises a celebration of music, culture, and community.
Russel Mavudzi, organiser and spokesperson, revealed a star-studded line-up including Mbeu & the Mhodzi Tribe, Mannex Motsi & MoFamilee, Ashley Masendeke (Mai Jeremaya), DJ Jada, and more. MC Stansplash will host, ensuring a smooth and entertaining experience.
The performers have pledged to deliver high-energy shows with cultural and conscious themes. Mbeu emphasized reggae’s role in healing and unity, saying, “Reggae carries messages of love, hope, and roots. Music is the bridge. Support is everything. Without partners and fans, there is no festival.”
Mai Jeremaya described the festival as an emotional return to music, adding, “Every song will be true and performed without holding back. This festival is vital for the growth and healing of our society. The gospel of unity and love has to be spread.”
Mannex Motsi highlighted Pan-Africanism and collaboration as key elements of his performance. “Combining our art brings out a uniqueness that pleases fans. Swan is doing an amazing job supporting art in Zimbabwe and exposing new artistes,” he said.
MC Stansplash, known for his trending Acktion Pak dance routine, has hosted international and local reggae acts, including Beenie Man, Mavado, Jah Cure, Winky D, and Jah Prayzah. He underscored the festival’s educational aspect, promoting “Rastalivity” and the motto, “In Life Do Good 2025,” spreading love, peace, and unity through reggae.
Swan Valley Group’s partnership ensures proper planning, corporate support, and value exchange between promoters, artistes, and audiences. With this backing, the October Reggae Festival is set to be a memorable celebration of Zimbabwean reggae, cultural heritage, and artistic unity.
