Zim Celebs Show Support At Solidarity March

Social media timelines have been filled with the hashtag Zimbabwe, as events unfold in the landlocked country. Since 14 November, so much has happened on the political scene. Things have been calm and peaceful as the Zimbabwean mass and the world have been waiting for a ‘change’. On Saturday 18 November, a historical event occurred in Zimbabwe. For the first time in a very long time, Zimbabweans from all walks of life came together for the ‘Solidarity March’. It was a ‘peaceful demonstration’ permitted by the Zimbabwe Defense Forces for Zimbabweans to express their grievances as well as the need for the president to resign. The streets of Harare, and the rest of the country, were buzzing with an air of elation as Zimbabweans celebrated a victory. Jah Prayzah’s ‘Kutonga Kwaro’ was the soundtrack for the ‘Solidarity March’. From political parties to religious groups and just the general public united in showing the nation what they want. Local celebrities and public figures also joined in what looked more like a turn up than a march. It was all love as they posed with their flags as well as with members of the military. Below are pictures of some of the Zim celebs who showed their support at the solidarity march.
