Zimbabwe Lose to South Africa In COSAFA Final

Zimbabwe’s Mighty Warriors lost to South Africa in the COSAFA Women Championship final played at Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday. The Warriors lost 2-1 to Banyana Banyana. This is South Africa’s fourth COSAFA win after having won in 2002, 2006 & 2008.

The Mighty Warriors got their goal from Rutendo Makore in the second half while South Africa scored through Christina Kgatlana and Leandra Smeda. Makore was tournament’s top goal scorer after netting ten goals while Chipo Dzingai was named Goalkeeper Of The Tournament.
