Bulawayo Students to Celebrate Semester’s End with Shutdown Party at BAC Leisure

Students from NUST, Hillside Teachers College, United College of Education (UCE), Bulawayo Polytechnic, and the Catholic University of Zimbabwe in Bulawayo are gearing up for one of the most anticipated social events of the academic calendar — the Semester Shutdown Party at BAC Leisure. Set for this Friday, the event promises a vibrant celebration as students mark the end of a demanding semester with music, dance, and unforgettable memories.
Headlining the party is none other than dancehall sensation Jah Master, who is expected to arrive in Bulawayo on Thursday evening. Known for his high-energy performances and hit songs that have dominated Zimbabwe’s music charts, Jah Master is expected to light up the stage and draw a massive crowd.
Joining him are some of Bulawayo’s most promising up-and-coming acts, including Bovas, Senko, Jah Practice, Freezer, and King Adiza. Their performances are expected to bring a fresh, youthful energy that resonates with the student audience.
“This party is a chance for students to unwind, have fun, and celebrate the hard work put in over the semester. DJs will be on rotation, keeping the energy high all night,” said Tawanda Muchechetere, manager at BAC Leisure.
The event, which kicks off at 6 PM, is open not only to students but to the broader Bulawayo community, making it a night of shared celebration and connection. “It’s the perfect opportunity to let loose, dance, and enjoy great music with friends and classmates,” added Muchechetere.
As semester-end pressure gives way to summer vibes, the Semester Shutdown Party is set to be the ultimate send-off — uniting students from across institutions in one unforgettable night of rhythm and relaxation.
