Makhaya Ntini to coach Zimbabwe

Former South African bowler Makhaya Ntini is set to take up a coaching role with the Zimbabwe Cricket team Zimsportsnews.com has learnt.

Ntini is believed to be in talks with Zimbabwe Cricket with the view of having him take over as the Chevrons bowling coach. The Zimbabwe cricket team’s performance has left a lot to be desired in recent months after losing a one-day and t-20 series to Afghanistan.

The poor form exhibited by the Chevrons has prompted ZC to strengthen the backroom staff at the disposal of head coach Dav Whatmore.

Apart from bringing in Ntini, ZC is also set to acquire the services of a Bangladesh batting coach as well as a Pakistan specialist spinning coach.
