Pastor’s miracle sparks debate
A certain pastor Lukau from South Africa has allegedly brought a man back to life after being dead for three days. A video of the pastor raising the man from the dead has been circulating. This has generated into a heated social media debate with most people lambasting the pastor of stage managing the perceived miracle.
Indeed resurrection has been known to happen in the Bible with Jesus Christ and Lazarus coming back to life but it’s application to morden day life has been questioned. The outrage over the video has also culminated into an attack on local prophets and pastors who have been said to be performing fake stage managed supernatural things.
Just a few weeks ago, local prophet Walter Magaya was convicted of breaching the law after announcing that he had found a cure to end HIV and AIDS. The man of cloth is popular for doing miraculous things and his annointed oil, bracelets and water have often been labelled as fake.
Another local pastor made the headlines a few years ago by claiming that he had gone to heaven and seen God and some biblical heroes such as Abraham. Various prophets have recently claimed to have powers to cure ailments, remove demons and one pastor even went to the extent of claiming that he could communicate with God on his phone.
Whether one is a believer or not, these issues are prevalent in today’s society and the youths are often left waddling in a sea of confusion. It remains to be seen whether the alleged miracles are indeed true or simply a well choreographed act.
