Petrol dealer burns beyond recognition in accidental fire
A man from Epworth was burnt beyond recognition when a petrol drum caught fire at his homestead. The 29 year old man was involved in the illegal sell of petrol from his backyard. According to the police the man was busy filling containers of petrol when his wife started cooking using gas inside the house. This started a fire and he was able to rush inside and take his wife, brother and child to safety.
It was then that he enquired from his wife whether the bag of money had been retrieved from the house to which they responded in the negative. The man rushed back inside to get the money and all hell broke loose. He was burnt inside and was unable to get outside.
Police have warned against the sell of petrol in homesteads as it is highly dangerous. Most people in high density suburbs are hoarding fuel and reselling it at a higher rate which poses a danger to their families.
