Resurrection Rhapsody Ignites Harare with Spirit-Filled Performances and the Launch of Tikiti

In a vibrant celebration of faith and community, the inaugural “Resurrection Rhapsody” concert took centre stage at Glamis Arena in Harare, overcoming the challenges of bad weather to deliver a powerful and unforgettable gospel experience. Hosted by emerging events promoter Tikiti, the event blended soul-stirring performances with the official launch of a cutting-edge online ticketing platform.

Despite the inclement weather that disrupted several open-air events across the city, “Resurrection Rhapsody” drew together a diverse line-up of top-tier gospel artistes who lit up the night with moving music and passionate worship.

Headlining the concert was acclaimed Nigerian gospel star Judikay, whose electrifying presence and heartfelt performance uplifted the crowd. She was joined by an impressive array of artistes including United Kingdom-based Zimbabwean singer Eleana Makombe, the gospel duo “The Cherayis,” as well as celebrated local talents such as Everton Mlalazi, Takesure Zamar, Janet Manyowa, Robyn, and the Joyful Praise Choir.

The evening began with an energising set from Robyn, followed by a soulful performance from Sharon Manyonganise-Cherayi. As the arena filled, Eleana Makombe stole the spotlight with her engaging stage presence, encouraging the crowd to sing along to hits like “Kana Jehovha avhura masuwo,” transforming the performance into a high-energy worship session.

Takesure Zamar brought emotional depth to the night with his worship anthem “Ndinokuregerera,” which resonated powerfully with the audience. He was followed by Everton Mlalazi, whose uplifting tracks “Hakuna Wakaita saJesu” and “Pfugama Unamate,” along with his latest song “Gwayana,” had the crowd on their feet in praise.

As the temperature dropped, gospel powerhouse Janet Manyowa kept spirits high with a captivating set that warmed the audience in anticipation of the final act. When Judikay finally appeared, her presence was electric. Her set was more than a performance—it was an immersive experience of spiritual connection and celebration.

Beyond the music, the night marked the official debut of Tikiti, a digital ticketing platform designed to streamline the event experience. Organiser Tatenda Gaylord Rushwaya emphasized the importance of this launch, stating, “It’s not about numbers; it’s about the launch of this new online ticketing system.” He highlighted that around 90 percent of attendees used Tikiti to secure their entry, demonstrating the system’s immediate success.

Rushwaya underscored the platform’s purpose: making event attendance smoother and more accessible, eliminating the long queues and last-minute frustrations that often plague large gatherings.

While attendance was modest due to weather conditions, the spirit of unity and worship prevailed, and the event proved to be a promising blueprint for future concerts under the Tikiti brand. The night showcased not just musical excellence, but a new chapter in Zimbabwe’s events industry—one defined by innovation, accessibility, and a deeper sense of community.

As “Resurrection Rhapsody” came to a close, the message was clear: this was more than a concert. It was a celebration of hope, a launch of new beginnings, and a glimpse into the future of live gospel events in Zimbabwe and beyond.
