Tinashe Ngoshi Launches Macro Disciplinary Camp to Address Wayward Youth

Tinashe Ngoshi has announced the launch of the Macro Disciplinary Camp, a facility aimed at addressing behavioural challenges among children and young adults aged seven to 30. The initiative targets youth who display rudeness, bullying, and disregard for parents and elders. Set to open in April on the outskirts of Bindura, the camp combines strict routines, mentorship, and personal development to guide participants back onto a positive path. Ngoshi believes the program will restore respect and discipline while providing parents with much-needed support in managing their children.
The camp will be run with the assistance of former Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service officers and professional psychologists. Ngoshi emphasised that the initiative is not a punishment facility but a corrective and mentoring platform. “Our goal is to mend the bridge that has collapsed and bring sanity back to my generation,” he said. The program will focus on behaviour correction, vocational training, recreational activities, and personal development, ensuring a holistic approach to youth improvement. Participants showing signs of drug abuse will be referred to professional support as part of the camp’s anti-drugs commitment.
Parents have largely welcomed the initiative, recognising the challenges in disciplining children at home, while child rights activists have called for careful monitoring to ensure participants’ welfare. Ngoshi stressed that the camp will prioritise safety and guidance over punitive measures. The Macro Disciplinary Camp has already started enrolling participants ahead of the April holiday period, aiming to create a structured environment where young people can learn responsibility, self-discipline, and life skills. The project positions itself as a national model for corrective youth development in Zimbabwe.
