Trevor Dongo Gifted Fully Furnished Apartment After Fire Incident

Musician Trevor Dongo’s troubles might soon be behind him after a group of well-wishers came together to donate a fully furnished apartment to the R&B crooner.

Dongo recently suffered a major setback when his apartment in Harare was gutted by fire following a dramatic altercation between two rival love interests. The incident left him homeless and sparked concerns over his mental well-being after he posted a distressing message on social media.

The Mahwindo Foundation confirmed that the generous donation came from musician Mudiwa Hood, businessman Ray Mutadza, philanthropist Mr. Lovemore, and entrepreneur King Alfred.

In a video shared by the foundation, Dongo was seen touring the new property alongside his mother, who expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the support given to her son in his time of need.

Following the fire, fears had emerged that Dongo might be struggling emotionally after he shared a post hinting at despair.

“I am losing hope, and I don’t think there’s a reason for me to live. All the music that I have recorded ichangosara ichiburitswa kuti muwane chenkundirangarira nacho,” he wrote, raising alarm among his fans.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that the fire was deliberately started by one of the women involved in the altercation. The singer allegedly left the apartment to seek police intervention, but during his absence, one of the women set the place ablaze in the middle of the night.

Dongo was later arrested in connection with the incident but was released after signing a warned and cautioned statement.

With the donation of a new home, the musician now has a fresh start, and his supporters hope he will recover from the ordeal and focus on his career.
