Zimbabwe Celebrates Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2025 Lyshanda Moyas with All-White Send-Off at Mbare Grillz

Mbare Grillz, usually a hub of vibrant nightlife, transformed into a scene of elegance last Sunday as Zimbabweans from all walks of life gathered to bid farewell to Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2025, Lyshanda Moyas. The all-white send-off blended glitz, artistry, and national pride, celebrating Moyas’ upcoming journey to Thailand for the Miss Universe pageant in November.

Moyas will join contestants from around the world at the Impact Arena, Exhibition and Convention Centre, competing for the coveted Miss Universe crown. The send-off event fused music and pageantry, attracting top Zimbabwean stars including Jah Prayzah, Chillmaster, and Delroy Shewe.

Jah Prayzah captivated the audience with a live performance that had socialites and fans on their feet. His rendition of “Nyeredzi,” performed alongside Moyas on stage, highlighted the cultural pride central to the event, emphasizing that Moyas carries Zimbabwean traditions onto the global stage. Chillmaster kept the energy high with his signature Zimdancehall beats, while Delroy Shewe added contemporary grooves, ensuring the evening matched the queen’s grandeur.

The event attracted Zimbabwe’s leading socialites and the entire board of Miss Universe Zimbabwe, underscoring the national significance of Moyas’ journey. Their support was evident in heartfelt speeches and toasts, reflecting the collective pride in the queen’s achievements.

Moyas, radiant in a short white dress echoing the event’s theme, addressed the crowd with poise and gratitude. “I feel incredibly prepared for this journey,” she said. “Zimbabwe is on my shoulders, and I carry it with pride. I know the world is waiting, and I am ready to show them our strength, resilience, and beauty.”

She emphasized that her participation represents the nation, saying, “This isn’t just about me; it’s about Zimbabwe. From Mbare to Harare, from Bulawayo to Mutare, I am representing every young girl who dreams big. I am going to Thailand not only to compete but to make sure our flag flies high.”

The all-white theme, symbolizing purity, unity, and new beginnings, resonated throughout the night. Attendees dazzled in immaculate outfits, turning Mbare Grillz into a runway. Social media was abuzz, with hashtags like #QueenLyshanda, #MbareSendOff, and #ZimbabweToTheWorld trending well into the night.

Moyas departs at the end of October for the international boot camp, a pre-pageant program focused on grooming, rehearsals, cultural exchange, and charity initiatives. This preparation aims to ensure she is ready for the main competition in November.

The send-off was more than a party; it was a celebration of Zimbabwe’s commitment to global arts and culture. It highlighted the nation’s support for Moyas as she prepares to represent Zimbabwe on an international stage. The message was clear: she does not walk alone, and the country stands united behind its queen.
