Zimbabwean born players to watch out for at the rugby world cup

Zimbabwe will again watch in disappointment as players that could have represented the country will at this years world cup turn for other nations.

Takudzwa Ngwenya who was born in Harare in June 1985, is a key figure in the United States side. Ngwenya who is a former Vainona High School student left for the United States where he excelled on the rugby front before being lured into changing citizenship by the US.

Another player of Zimbabwean dissent is Tendai Mtawarira who did his secondary education at Churchill Boys High School and Peterhouse Boys. Mtawarira who represented the country at junior level was lured by Natal Sharks before being convinced into changing citizenship as he went in pursuit of a Springboks jersey.

David Pocock is another Zimbabwean player that will be part of the 2015 world cup where he will be representing Australia. Born and bred in Zimbabwe Pocock migrated with his family, to Brisbane, Australia, in 2002. Pocock who made his Wallabies debut in 2008 is among Australia’s top players at the world cup in England.
