Rusike likely to remain in topflight despite Halamstad’s relegation

Warriors and Halmstad striker, Matthew Rusike, is likely to remain in the Swedish Allsvenskan next season, despite his team being relegated from Sweden’s top-flight this weekend.

The 25-year-old has managed to grab four goals in his last nine games for struggling Halmstad, however has not been able to help them avoid the drop, something that was confirmed by a last minute own-goal from one of his teammates on Sunday.

However, while the Zimbabwean will be disappointed about his side’s failure to stay in the Allsvenskan this year, it appears that he will not be following them down to the Superettan, with a whole host of clubs said to be interested in signing him.

Rusike has already confirmed to the Swedish media that he will be leaving Halmstad once their season comes to an end, and it is thought that he will be a free agent at the end of December.

While the exact teams that are interested in Rusike, following an impressive start to his career in Europe, are not yet known, it is believed that he will not be short of options in Sweden come the start of 2016.
