Craig Ervine powers Zimbabwe to victory

Craig Ervine hit 95 runs from 99 balls as Zimbabwe eased to a 7 wicket win against Bangladesh Cricket Board XI today.

Zimbabwe won the toss and fielded first in a game which Dav Whatmopre would have viewed as vital ahead of their odi series against Bangladesh. Luke Jongwe and Graeme Cremer were the pick of the Zimbabwean bowlers as they took both took three wickets. Mushfiqur Rahim topscored for BCB XI with 81 runs, helping the hosts post 277 runs.

Needing 278 runs to win Craig Ervine was impressive for the Chevrons after smashing 95 runs from 99 balls. Also in good form was Sean Williams who retired hurt with 54 runs.

Elton Chigumbura was equally clinical with an unbeaten 64 run knock taking Zimbabwe past the finish line with 20 balls to spare.
