Zimbabweans are split over his decision with some saying he used his campaign to flee hardships while others say he had no choice since his life is in danger. Evan is with his family in South Africa. Indications are that he is heading to the USA.

He reportedly said that it’s important that people understand that he is not running away from Zimbabwe, he is traveling to South Africa regularly for his own personal and church business. But because of his arrest, there has actually been a disturbance. He has to rethink about his return to Zimbabwe because of the current situation.

”I was denounced by Zimbabwe’s government; yet, I am just one person who has raised his voice and spoken out. So, it is a tricky situation and something that I am still thinking about,” he added.
