Television news presenter, Rumbi Takawira is the latest to fall before the Olympic quarter finals as she was knocked out of a karate tournament.Rumbie Takawira Aka Newsbae didn’t make it to the finals.
She reportedly said that she was unable to match the physicality of the opponent, who was much bigger and more skilled than she was and sadly sh lost the match and she was devastated.
”Even though I had to give her a hug at the end of the fight to show ”good sportsmanship” I did it painfully because I was so disappointed in myself. I thought of the countless hours I spent at the dojo, sweating and working out,” she said.
Newsbae also added that she thought of the endless squats and kicks, the pain all over her body. She thought of how she slept at midnight because of her work and then waking up at 4am to climb a mountain and train hard everyday.
