Minister Of Home Affairs Ignatius Chombo Faces 90 Days Imprisonment
Ignatius Chombo, the Home Affairs Minister Dr was slapped with 90 days imprisonment with labour by the High Court until he fully produces an order directing him to pay Tendai Blessing Mangwiro US$1.5 million which was reportedly seized by the police in 2008.Minister Of Home Affairs Ignatius Chombo Faces 90 Days Imprisonment .
Dr Chombo was found guilty for failing to abide with court orders instructing him to ensure the Mutare businessman was reimbursed his money, however Mumbengegwi attempted to seek the removal of the matter from the roll arguing that the Minister had not been personally served with a contempt of court application.
Edmore Tendai Mhlekiwa, Mangwiro’s legal counsel convinced the court that the sheriff had personally served the Minister and a return of service to that effect was in the record.
