Plaxedes Wenyika returns to the studio

Popular Zimbabwean rnb singer and songwriter Plaxedes Wenyika is back in the studio. The popular artist has had ups and downs in the musical industry but appears rejuvenated and eager for her next musical project.

Plaxedes Wenyika confirmed her return to the studio in an instagram post on Thursday. The artist that is renowned for a soothing voice was in the presence of one of the top Zimbabwean producers at the moment DJ Tamuka, serving as confirmation that Wenyika’s next project involves Military Touch Movement, the label under which DJ Tamuka is currently working for.

Plaxedes Wenyika announced herself as a top artist when she released her first album “Tisaparadane” which carried several love songs. The album will also be remembered for another popular hit titled “Shamwari” which featured Sani Makhalima. Wenyika also followed up her debut album with another offering titled “Kamumanzi “ which enjoyed wide airplay on local radio stations.

Plaxedes then took a break in 2009 before returning with another album in 2012. The rnb singer has in the past gone through many musical frustrations including an economic challenges which threatened the viability of musicians with piracy also a huge worry which prompted her to take a back seat.

With 2019 just beginning Plaxedes appears re-energized and focused towards ensuring she satisfies fans with tunes similar to the ones that saw her rise to fame. Having gone through a difficult divorce last year Wenyika will now be looking to put that behind her and focus on her music.
