2019 psl season looms

The 2019 premier soccer league season promises fireworks given the off-season market activity which has season clubs such as Chicken Inn, Manica Diamonds and Caps United hyper active on the transfer market.

FC Platinum head into the 2019 season as clear favourites given their ability to retain the majority of players that guided them to a second consecutive crown. The reigning champions will however have to be at their best given the emergence of teams such as Manica Diamonds and Chicken Inn.

Chicken Inn managed to attract several players that include Clive Augusto and Tichaona Chipunza from Ngezi Platinum. Joey Antipas whose side fell short last year has every reason to believe 2019 can be a year in which the gamecocks land a second title.

Manica Diamonds were also vibrant on the transfer market, luring players such as Marshal Mudehwe fromFC Platinum, Peace Makaha from Dynamos and Wisdom Mutasa from Caps United. The psl debutants have outlined their target of finishing among the top 8 psl teams but given the talent at their disposal Luke Masomere will not be ruling out a possible challenge for the psl title.

Caps united also look a formidable team after signing Phineas Bamusi, Gabriel Nyoni and Newman Siyanchali. The green machine has already pointed to the desire of reclaiming the league title despite the formidable opposition that they will have to face in the 2019 season.

The 2019 psl season kickstarts on 30 March with clubs having already registered their players following the Friday deadline which had been set by the PSL.
