Zimdancehall artist Ticky vibes recently showed his better side when he took time to visit inmates at Chikurubi prison. The singer spent his day at the institution, conversing with prisoners and giving them a mild dose of entertainment.
Tocky also spent some quality time with controvesial end time church leader Robert Martin Gunbura who is currently serving a 40 year jail term for rape. He was indeed grateful to see such young blood coming in to appreciate the living conditions of inmates at Chikurubi.
Artists usually visit Chikurubi to entertain people and offer support. Such initiative are necessary to ensure that inmates keep holding on to their faith and also have a taste of the outside world. Coupled with the fact that the ambassador for prisons and corrections is singer Sulumani Chimbetu, artists have been flocking to prisons to ensure that the rehabilitation process of prisoners moves smoothly. A few months ago, Sulumani celebrated his birthday at Chikurubi and invited Beverly Sibanda to perform. Gospel groups have also been constant visitors at Chikurubi.
Sharing the news online, Tocky vibes qouted a verse in one of his songs that bemoaned that life is a prison even if one is not necessarily in custody. Many people commended the singer for his good deed and encouraged other artists to follow suit.
