Songstress Tamy Moyo will once again shine on the big screen, this time in a movie. She appears in a new movie called Gonarezhou. The trailer for the latest project is now out.
Gonarezhou is a movie that seeks to conscientise people on wildlife awareness. It was directed by Sydney Taivavashe. The movie was produced in conjunction with the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Agency.
The story line is about a young boy called Zulu who joins a poaching gang. He then starts to experience unfounded and misfortunes due to the illicit trade that he joined. The movie seeks to raise anti poaching awareness in the country. It can be noted that poaching is rife and is one problem that has persistently boggled the minds of authorities over the years.
Tamy Moto puts up a sterling performance in the movie. Judging from the recently released trailer, she is set to blow viewers away with her hard core and bold gestures in the movie. The story line was inspired by the genocied of 300 elephants through cynide poisoning in 2013. Several other poaching stories seem to be encompassed in the movie.
Tamy Moyo has been making headlines of late. She has been positioning herself firmly in the arts industry. Some of her other major highlights this year besides the movie are having perfomed at the Coke studio in Kenya and releasing a groundbreaking hit song called Kwandinobva. It was subsequently played on Trace Africa television channel.
The date of the release of the movie is yet to be confirmed.
