Zim coaches barred from entering SA

It never rains but pours for the Zimbabwe senior men’s national football team, the Warriors after the team’s coach Zdravko Logarusic and one of his deputies Lloyd Chitembwe were barred from entering neighbouring South Africa ahead of the COSAFA Castle Cup which kicks-off tomorrow.

 It is believed Logarusic had VISA complications while for Chitembwe reasons are still unknown as the nation eagerly awaits for the country’s football mother body ZIFA, to issue a statement on the issue.

It remains a circus on how things are run at the football house in Zimbabwe and one would possibly wonder what will the country’s football landscape look like in the near future if a whole national team coach and his lieutenants cannot sit on the bench at such crucial times.

The question is, is it the problem of South Africa’s immigration department or it is another baby?

Let’s wait and see what the football authorities have to say on this one.
