Radio in Zimbabwe keeps on expanding its territory. Every year more new voices are being added to create diversity. In recent years some radio stations have brought on new personalities. One the stations is ZiFM Stereo. The latest addition to the family is renowned on air and voice over personality Simba Mudereri. Simba joined Misred on The Rush. He took over from DJ Munya, who left the station to pursue other endeavours. Simba is vibrant and fun and has great chemistry with co-host Misred. 1.He was born Simbarashe Mudereri on 7 September 1978.
2. Simba moved to Botswana with his family when he was a teenager and calls home.
3. Despite leaving in Botswana for a long time, Simba isn’t fluent in Setwana.
4. He started his career as a voice over artist.
5. He has recorded a number of voice-overs for corporate clients, including ZTV, Cliff Central, PPC South Africa and Zimbabwe.
6. He worked at Botswana’s Gabz FM where he hosted midday show, as well as being part of Cliff Central hosting his own show ‘Random Muslings’.
7. Simba has been a travelling nomad having been in the UK, Botswana and South Africa where he has also worked.
8. Simba joined ZiFM Stereo in 2018, where he co-hosts The Rush alongside Misred.
9. Simba is an eligible bachelor, single with no children.
10. Simba aspires to have a pan African role where he speaks to people across the continent whether as media personality, voice over artist or MC.
