Djembe monks to share stage with Sho Madjozi.
Bulawayo dance group Djembe monks is set to share the stage with South African sensation Sho Madjozi at the Neverland Zimbabwe Electro dance music (EDM) in Harare. The event will run from 13 -14 December.
The trio which consists of Emmanuel Nkomo, Khotso Nare and Slimza waAfrica is excited at the upcoming show. They remarked,”We’re excited to be part of the Neverland festival and we will do our best to give people what they need to do the and enjoy themselves in that particular day”. The three have previously graced international stages and wowed audiences with their sleek moves.
The trio has done projects that include Deep love drums and Bang the drum. Indeed the tribal ensemble lives to fuse traditional beats and rythm as well as pimped up ancient cultural dance moves. Having to share the stage with Sho Madjozi is quite a big achievement for the three dancers as she is currently regarded as one of the most phenomenal female musicians in Africa. They will also be joined by Holly Reg. Most people have expressed that they are eagerly waiting for the festival and can hardly wait to see their favorite trio in action.
Zimbabwe boasts of several dance groups that are s8ply marvelous when it comes to their work. Calls have also been made for parents to encourage their talented kids to pursue their dreams in the arts industry.
