Dexter Nduna arrested. Fingered as Mashurugwi benefactor

Zanu Pf legislator Dexter Nduna was recently arrested for prospecting for gold without a licence. The outspoken Chegutu legislator is alleged to have extracted some gold or without any licence or approval at David Whitehead mine. He was arrested with three other accomplices including a senior police officer.

The shenaningan is said to have happened a day before a cop was killed by gold panners. The area which Nduna and his accomplices were prosepecting for gold is a Mashurugwi hot spot sparking speculation that Ndunanis actually behind the rise and notoriety of the Mashurugwi group. Chegutu Magistrate Judith Taruvinga remanded the matter to January 21. Nduna is renowned for boasting about killing people that he did not even know when he had an altercation with Norton legislator Temba Mliswa.

He has been fingered in several scandals involving issues of mining but he had never been arrested before. Nduna is alleged to have hired an excavator before asking guards Manning David Whitehead to allow him and his accomplices to enter after which they started mining the area without a licence on November 13 last year.
