Fuel crisis worsens.
Fuel prices have for the umpteenth time gone up. After weeks of battling long queues and having to sleep on the orad, motorists woke up this past weekend to a new petrol price. The increase has however done nothing to reduce long winding queues as evidenced in most service stations. The new price of petrol is 18.28 rtgs a litre from around 17.44 rtgs dollar. The fuel crisis has been amajor thorn in the flesh for most people and has led to increased transport fares
Those on the black market have also been taking advantage of the fuel shortages by hoarding fuel and resellingbit at exhorbitant prices in foreign currency. It surely never rains but heavily pours on the poverty stricken local motorists. Prices of basic commodities are also going up on a daily basis. With the current fuel increase speculation is high that prices of goods will also go up. The major blow is that salaries of most people especially civil servants are just stagnant causing untold suffering and poverty for most
