Bev claims she was barred from taking part in Ginimbi’s twerking show

Controversial adult perfomer Beverly ‘Bev’ Sibanda is a bitter woman after she was allegedly barred from taking part in businessman Ginimbi’s twerking competition. The businessman, real name Genius Kadungure, hosts the infamous “Twerk or Treat” competition on Instagram Live and this past weekend, he initially offered R15 000 to the winner. However, he later paid R40 000 to the winner, who is from South Africa.Bev is confident that she would have easily scooped the money on offer if she had not been sabotaged. She is alleging that she was sabotaged by Ginimbi’s entourage who barred her from taking part in the competition at the last minute.

Bev is popular for her erotic acrobatic dance moves an has perfected her craft over the years. Indeed she could have easily won the competition. Bev also nailed the 50 magate challenge last year proving that she is a pro at her job. Most people had been calling on Bev to partake in the challenge which has attracted a pot of attention online. Her followers feigned disappointment at her having been robbed of such an opportunity. Ginimbi is yet to respond to the allegations.

The show was watched by well over 20 000 people including those outside Zimbabwe.In an interview with the local publication, Bev said“I’m still disappointed by Ginimbi’s ‘hangers’ who sabotaged me after realising that I could easily take away the money.“I was ready in my dancing costumes but when it was my turn, I was blocked and that alone showed that there was some conspiracy which took place,”The outspoken Bev claimed that there was no transparency in te manner in which the competition was held.“It’s clear that this thing might have been stage-managed because I was sabotaged.“From the onset, this thing was free for those with bundles and can twerk but why was I not allowed to showcase my skills.”

Ginimbi’s show has also been criticised by some people as being exploitative to women and degrading. They said women are merely seen as objects of entertainment. However that being said, Ginimbi has managed to grow a large fan base for the show.
