Pof Jonathan Moyo scoffs at Misred being named an influential person
Self exiled politician Professor Jonathan Moyo has spoken out against a list of the most influential women in the country. The professor did not hold back in calling the author of the list a scatter brain as he ripped apart the list and threw shade at Misred for appearing on the list.
A certain magazine compiled a list of 25 most influential women in the country. These included the likes of Danai Gurira, Kim Jayde, Misred and Auxilia Mnangagwa among others . While most people have been busy professing admiration at the women for being a positive pillar of strength and light to fellow women, Moyo had no kind words to spare. He tweeted, “This fatous list of supposedly 25 most influential women in Zimbabwe must have been compiled by a scatter brain of a man who can’t even correctly spell the names of some of the women he selected”. The professor then scoffed at the fact that Misred had been included on the list.
Misred has become unpopular following a comment that she made in an interview with a foreign media house. She claimed that the human rights violations being reported in the country were nothing but just mere say so. She said the situation was not as bad as was being portrayed by the media. This comment drew a lot of attention and people lashed out at her. Her popularity has since waned. Some even accused her of bedding ruling party bigwigs.
Moyo did not give his reasons for ripping apart the list but his sentiments reveal that he is not in agreement with the list. The professor is currently lodged in Kenya after fleeing the country during the 2017 coup that toppled Mugabe’s reign.
