Grace Mugabe v Elizabeth Tsvangirai: A tale of survival after the death of a spouse
Most people have been wondering what the former first lady Grace Mugabe has been up to ever since the passing on of her husband Robert in 2019. The sharp tongued and outspoken former first lady has been hiding in the shadows following the ouster of her husband from power and his subsequent death.
Grace has been keeping to herself. She has been very quiet and focused on her projects at their Gushungo farm. She is also looking good, a clear sign that the former first lady is keeping a good record of her health. A few images have been shared on social media platforms of her activities and her bonding time with her kids and grandkids.
The death of her husband was a major blow to Grace Mugabe’s political aspirations as well as personal life. All hopes of ever getting a top post in government were watered down when her old and frail husband was removed from power in 2017. He later on died in 2019 leaving his widow with various legal battles to deal with as well as a new way of life.
Likewise Elizabeth Tsvangirai, wife of late MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai has also been living her best life following the death of her partner. Elizabeth has been busy with various projects ever since her husband succumbed to cancer including following her vocational calling as a religious leader and pursuing business interests. She never remarried. Pictures of her flaunting her hot bod in a bikini caused a stir on social media after the death of her husband. Elizabeth is now raising her kids and enjoying life far away from the political scene.
Both widows seem to have moved on with their lives. They are living peacefully with their families away from drama. They are also taking good care of themselves and seem to have a strong support structure.
