Thumbs up for Pasuwa!
Hate him or like him, the man is just a super tactician.
For a third consecutive time the former Warriors and Dynamos mentor Callisto Pasuwa did it again this weekend when he guided Nyasa Big Bullets to another league glory in the Malawian TNM Super League on Sunday.
Pasuwa who joined the Bullets late 2018 now has seven league titles to his name after winning four straight championships with Dynamos between 2011 and 2014.
With Nyasa Big Bullets having faltered last week when they fell 1-0 to Be Forward Wanderers it looked set that the title race would go to the wire but that was not to be after yesterday’s (Sunday) fixture.
Thanks to Blue Eagles who beat Be Forward Wanderers 3-1 to ensure Pasuwa and his charges are crowned champions with a game to spare.
Following their defeat, it only meant one thing, the Nomads cannot surpass the People’s Team tally of 59 points even if they win their remaining match thereby surrendering the title on the penultimate day of the 2020/21Malawi TNM Super League.
The People’s Team had also done themselves a huge favour when they humbled Kamuzu Barracks 3-0 to get their title defense back on track.
Pasuwa and his arsenal have so far managed 17 wins, 8 draws and just 4 losses this season amassing a total of 59 points from 29 games.
The title is an unprecedented 15th league crown for Nyasa Big Bullets followed by Silver Strikers and Be Forward Wanderers who have eight and six championships respectively.
