Warriors gear up for Ghana

The Zimbabwe national soccer team on Wednesday evening trained as a unit as head coach Norman Mapeza got a an opportunity to get a glimpse of his charges ahead of Saturday’s showdown with Ghana.

Following their arrival in Accra on Tuesday, the Warriors shifted base to the Cape Coast which will host the Zimbabwe Ghana tie on Saturday. Hours after their arrival in the Cape Coast Zimbabwe had an opportunity of training on Wednesday evening.

Complications had emerged on Wednesday when Teenage Hadebe was barred 3 times from traveling from his base in the United States while Brendan Galloway was denied access into Ghana owing to visa issues. The problem were however eventually solved with Hadebe eventually catching a flight to Ghana while Galloway was eventually allowed entry into the West African nation.

Ghana on Wednesday continued with preparations for Saturday’s world cup qualifier clash with the Black Stars playing a friendly tie with a lower division club.
