Darikwa makes instant impact in Cyprus

Tendayi Darikwa scored his first goal of the season for his new Cypriot First Division side Apollon Limassol in just his fourth appearance for the club over the weekend.

After being handed a starting berth in their away encounter to APOEL at the GSP Stadium on Sunday, the experienced defender repaid the trust instilled in him by his coach Vladan Milojević when he levelled matters on the stroke of half time.

The goal which ensured Apollon Limassol get a point on the road, will clearly work as a major boost for Darikwa on his journey to quickly settle in the team.

The clash between APOEL and Apollon Limassol ended 1-1, marking the third stalemate for Darikwa’s side since the start of the campaign in which they have recorded just one win.

Meanwhile, Darikwa signed a two-year contract with Apollonas in July until May 2025.
