Khama Billiat Names Tsepo Masilela as His Toughest Opponent
Yadah FC’s star signing, Khama Billiat, has named former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana left-back Tsepo Masilela as the toughest opponent he has faced in his career. Despite competing against top international players, including Spain’s Gerard Pique, Billiat admitted that Masilela consistently posed the biggest challenge on the field.
In a recent interview with iDiski Times, Billiat opened up about the mental strain he experienced when preparing to face Masilela, recalling how he would often feel anxious the day before their match-ups. “Truly, to be honest, it was Tsepo Masilela,” Billiat said. “I would stress the day before. I don’t know why. I was always struggling, playing against him.”
Billiat shared that Masilela’s speed and defensive prowess made every game against him a formidable battle, admitting, “Even until today, I ask myself, ‘What was it so difficult?’ I don’t know if there’s a game or games where I would say I enjoyed playing against him—it was always difficult.”
Since returning to the Castle Lager PSL with Yadah FC in early 2024, Billiat has been making headlines and is currently tied as the top scorer, sharing the position with William Manondo of CAPS United and Lynoth Chikuhwa of Highlanders, with 12 goals each and only four matches left in the season.
