Miss World Zimbabwe 2024: A Celebration of Beauty, Brains, and Benevolence

Twelve extraordinary finalists are set to compete for the prestigious title of Miss World Zimbabwe 2024 in a glittering event at Siyekhaya Estate in Borrowdale. The pageant, a showcase of grace, intelligence, and community spirit, promises to captivate audiences and celebrate Zimbabwean womanhood in all its glory.

The Finalists

The impressive lineup of contestants includes Samantha Manhenga, Charlotte Muziri, Chipo Ben, Courtney Jongwe, Yolanda Chimbarami, Pauline Marere, Life Matunzeni, Tinashe Dahwa, Nozinhle Gumede, Blessing Gwanzura, Lindsay Nyabereka, and Ruvimbo Musengi. These women were selected from across the nation for their beauty, intellect, and commitment to making a positive impact in their communities.

“Beauty with a Purpose”

This year’s theme, “Beauty with a Purpose,” underscores the pageant’s focus on empowering women to lead initiatives that benefit society. Patience Lusengo, Miss World Zimbabwe license holder and director, explained that the finalists have been involved in advocacy projects ranging from education and healthcare to environmental conservation and women’s empowerment.

“We are not just looking for a pretty face,” said Lusengo. “We want a woman who can inspire and make a difference in the lives of others.”

The winner will not only wear the crown but also serve as an ambassador for Zimbabwean women, embodying values of beauty, intelligence, and compassion. She will represent the country at Miss World International, while the first runner-up will head to Miss International.

A Glamorous Evening

Hosting the event is international media personality Kim Jayde, a Zimbabwean-born star known for her work with Revlon South Africa and her inclusion in Forbes’ 30 Under 30. Her charisma and expertise are sure to add an extra layer of excitement to the proceedings.

The reigning Miss World Zimbabwe, Nokutenda Murambwa, will also grace the stage. Murambwa made history last year by winning the prestigious Miss World Head-to-Head Challenge, raising Zimbabwe’s profile on the global beauty stage.
