Rising Stars NoNameDanceCrew to Set the Stage Ablaze at Bulawayo Shutdown

The excitement around Bulawayo’s most anticipated event of the year, the Bulawayo Shutdown, is reaching new heights with the unveiling of rising dance group NoNameDanceCrew as one of the key performers for the event. Set to take place on April 26, the event will coincide with the final day of the prestigious Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF), adding an extra layer of anticipation.

NoNameDanceCrew, a trio known for their electrifying performances and unique jiving skills, has been winning over audiences with their high-energy dance routines at various events. Now, they are set to bring their talents to the stage at the Bulawayo Shutdown, where they will share the spotlight with some of the biggest names in the music industry, including multi-award-winning rapper ASAPH.

“This will be our first time performing at the Bulawayo Shutdown, which means we will have a significantly larger crowd to impress,” said Carlton Mpofu, one of the members of the group. “The task is bigger and humbling, but of course, we will grab the bull by the horns. We’ve already started working on some new routines and will begin rehearsals soon.”

Mpofu went on to express his excitement about the event, saying that the city of Bulawayo, known for its love of dance, will be in for a real treat. “The majority of people from Skies (Bulawayo) not only love to dance but also know how to. So when we hit the stage, we’re definitely going to have everyone dancing along with us.”

The collaboration with ASAPH adds an exciting element to their performance. “When ASAPH reached out to us about a possible collaboration, we sat with our management and all agreed that it’s a good move since our interests align,” Mpofu added. “A shout out to him and anyone else who recognises our game. It means we’re doing something right.”

Jordan Dube, one of the organisers of the Bulawayo Shutdown, also praised the collaboration between NoNameDanceCrew and ASAPH. “We are all about uplifting and giving a platform to the promising talent we have locally. It’s even greater when they themselves initiate partnerships because it promotes a healthy culture of working together. Let’s see how this one goes, I can’t wait to see them on stage and set it ablaze,” Dube said.

This year’s edition of the Bulawayo Shutdown promises to be one for the books, with international stars like Mzansi’s Nasty C, Emtee, and Uncle Waffles also part of the line-up. The event will take place at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre Hall 3 in Famona, Bulawayo, making it the perfect setting for an unforgettable celebration of music and dance.

With NoNameDanceCrew ready to showcase their skills to a larger audience, Bulawayo is in for a performance that will leave fans buzzing for days to come.
