Kieran Vincent Clinches Another Sunshine Tour Title

Zimbabwe’s rising golf star Kieran Vincent has once again etched his name into Sunshine Tour glory, delivering another show-stopping performance to claim the Waterfall City Tournament of Champions title at Royal Johannesburg.
Vincent, who recently defended his title at the Kit Kat Cash and Carry, turned in yet another masterclass over the weekend. After a steady opening round of 70 and a composed 69 on day two, the 26-year-old exploded with a flawless 61 on Saturday — a bogey-free round that electrified fans and rattled the leaderboard. He closed out the tournament with a final-round 70, finishing at 18-under-par 270, a full four strokes ahead of South African contender Daniel van Tonder.
South Africa’s Pieter Moolman rounded out the top three at 13-under, but all eyes were firmly fixed on Vincent, who continues to cement his reputation as one of the Sunshine Tour’s breakout stars.
The final round wasn’t without its challenges. Vincent’s lead came under immediate pressure after a rough start on the par-four third, where he went out of bounds not once, but twice. “The first one went OB, and then the second followed,” he revealed after his round. “At that point, I knew I had to fight.”
And fight he did. Channeling a combination of grit and mental fortitude, Vincent bounced back in spectacular fashion, carding seven birdies on a demanding composite nine-hole layout. It was his first time playing the layout in competition, but he rose to the occasion with confidence and composure. “It was all about grit. My team has been talking about fighting, and that’s what kept me going,” he said. “It was a challenge, but I loved every moment of it.”
This latest win not only adds another trophy to Vincent’s growing collection but also strengthens his standing as Zimbabwe’s top golfing export. With his poise under pressure and consistently sharp form, he is rapidly becoming a name to watch on the international golfing stage.
Kieran Vincent’s continued success is fueling excitement back home and across the region, as fans rally behind the young talent flying the Zimbabwean flag with pride and passion. His journey is far from over, but one thing is clear — he’s not just playing golf, he’s making history.
